About the area: Poble Sec
Strategically located on the right side of the Montjuïc hill with several of
the city's most important cultural venues such as the Miro foundation,
the National Museum of Catalonia, the Palau Sant Jordi (renown for its
great and vibrant concerts) the spectacular Montjuïc Castle, the Botanic
Garden and the Cactus Garden, the Poble Espanyol and many other
noteworthy sites.
This neighborhood reveals some of the most unpolished gems of Barcelona
with authentic and good quality restaurants, bakeries, cafe's and the
beautiful Sant Antoni market nearby. Las Ramblas is about 12 minutes by foot.
Plaza Espanya is about 8 minutes walking from the apartment. Instead of walking
to the beach of Barceloneta, take the nearby funicular and cable lift to
enjoy the spectacular view over the old harbor.
