It can all be a little overwhelming, the city may not be huge but the culture, activities, events, eateries etc. is vast. So we have taken it upon ourselves to amalgamate our local 12 years experience in the city via our blog. Whether you are planning on coming over for the festivals, want to find out vegan eats or general insider information, we will keep you in the loop.
Explore Barcelona by bike
One of the most popular ways to see the city is by bike, not only is it more personal and fit but it is a great way to disperse yourself in to the city. You will see many residents here using the red bicing bikes, unfortuantely these bikes are for residents only but the city does have many companies that offer bike rentals to tourists and reasonable prices. We have taken the time to list some of our favorites.
Cruising Barcelona not only offers private and group tours but you can be seen cursing the city in the epitome of style riding one of over 40 different styles of cruisers. Recommended by Tripadvisor, this company set up by Mahrou and Dirk brings a wealth of experience as locals. It doesn’t stop there, as once you book to rent a bike they send you a map and tips on the city to help you have a pleasant journey and discover the hidden gems with fabulous hosts.

Barcelona Battery Bikes
If you are looking for a more dynamic way to travel Barcelona Battery Bikes provides just that, electric bikes with batteries powerful enough to cover more than 40 Km on flat surface and 25 uphill. Yan and his team offer a great service including explanations on how to get to destinations and assisting with itineraries. For those interested in taking a tour, this is also possible with e-Bike providing informative and friendly tour guides to host you through the city. We would recommend eBikes for those perhaps looking for a more dynamic bike ride, intending to take routes uphill or those that may not be able to endure a long bike trek.

Great reviews, and I’d like to mention our company, too, in the Raval area of the city – http://www.barcelonafoldingbike.com we have both normal urban bikes and also brompton folding bikes, too. We organise tours around the city too, and personally check each bike before each rental and after too, to ensure the condition is prime.
