Adrià brothers to open Nikkei cuisine restaurant
Food enthusiasts will be happy to hear about Chef Ferran Adrià ‘s planned Nikkei cuisine restaurant – set to be located adjacent to Tickets in the popular Parallel district of Barcelona city. In an interview with Peruvian newspaper El Comercio, Adrià said he planned to “put Peru on the map” with his brother Albert and given his previous success we are very excited about this next venture. Nikkei food is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian food and makes an exciting project for Adriá as it combines two of his great culinary interests and will give him more creative freedom.
Blogger Barbara Delollis via USA Today last week tweeted that the name of the new establishment will be Patka, though this hasn’t been confirmed by the Adrià brothers themselves. What are your thoughts on the rumoured name of the restaurant? Would you travel from afar to sample the delicacies at this Nikkei restaurant?
