Whether you are planning on coming over for the festivals, want to find out vegan eats or general insider information, we will keep you in the loop.
International Dance Film Screening in Barcelona – Cine de Danza
Carrer del Pi, 5
Dance cinema may not be for everyone, but Cine de Danza presents an incredible case as to why you should attend. We aren’t talking about musicals, we are divulging into the underground and elaborate expression of dance as an art form juxtaposed with cinematic technic to bring something exciting to the screen and a whole new narrative.
A screening will take place on 24th of October 2013 at 9pm in newly renovated Cinema Maldà situated in the gothic area. The aim is to not only attract lovers of dance but those with a love for cinematic discourse, as the screening will unite non-commercial visuals and narrative. This is rather unconventional, which is why we love the project! Guiding this screening is Choreoscope, a company that works on promoting “dance films on an international scale”. Here are just some of the most outstanding dance and film artists to be included in the screening Chevi Muraday, Christian Larson, Daniel Moshel, Holly Rothschild, Javier Cardenete, Simon Fildes and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
The non-profit event, with free entrance for the audience has limited capacity so it is advised that you reserve a ticket, to avoid disappointment.
