Whether you are planning on coming over for the festivals, want to find out vegan eats or general insider information, we will keep you in the loop.
La Perla de Oro in Barcelona
La Perla de Oro
La Perla de Oro is part fresh food grocery store, part restaurant and brilliantly simple and authentic. You’ll find yourself among locals ordering their usual bocadillo or tapas.
This Raval based place has been managed by several owners and is now in the hands of Frenchman Julien and Anouchka Gautier from Extremadura in Spain, a couple that let their influences resonate through the food. They regularly go to France to find products to create their inviting and tasty menu. As for the bread, they buy this from local bakery Baluard, known for delicious and excellent varieties.
Both cosy and intimate, you somewhat feel like you’re at home. Love some of the dishes on the menu? If so, you can buy some of the produce, such as, an amazing selection of French, Spanish and Italian cheeses, cured meats, canned food and more. Some would say that the food is pretty much tapas with a special French touch, like the goose rillettes (a kind of rustic pâté) on toast which is just sublime and you can also sample the snails with butter, garlic and parsley.
If you are planning on sampling delicious food whilst staying in Catalonia, DestinationBCN offer comfortable boutique Barcelona apartments that make an ideal home away from home.
