Reservation and payment
The reservation will become effective once the reservation form
containing your personal data and travel details is filled out and
we have received a down-payment of 30% of the total rental
rate. The down-payment can be paid by bank transfer or by credit card
via our secure server.

The transfer should be accompanied by the following text:
"guest + your name".
Should the remaining 70% be paid via credit card, a 4%
surcharge will be added for credit card handling fees.
Cancellation
We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance, to
recuperate any cancellation costs due to circumstances such
as "force majeure" which are beyond the control of both parties.
If a client cancels 60 days or more prior to the arrival date,
50% of the pre-payment minus additional bank transfer costs
will be refunded. DestinationBCN will subsequently try to rent
out the apartment for the same booking period.
If DestinationBCN succeeds in doing so, the full pre-payment
minus bank transfer costs and 50 euros administration fee,
will be refunded to the client.
Please note that 'no show' or a cancellation 7 days or less
prior to the arrival date, results in a credit card charge to cover
the complete rental sum.
If due to "force majeure", DestinationBCN cannot fulfill its
commitment regarding the rental of a reserved property, it will
communicate this to the client at the moment in which such an
incident occurs.
DestinationBCN reserves the right to offer the client an
alternative property and will do everything within its power to
find a replacement accommodation with similar characteristics.
The property shall be offered under the same (or better)
conditions to which both parties have agreed upon in this
signed contract.
In case no alternative accommodation can be found, the
remaining sum of the rental fee (effective from the time which
the incident occurred, onwards) shall be returned to the client.
Arrival, remaining payment and breakage deposit
Upon arrival at the airport, please call us once you have
collected your luggage.
When coming by car or train please do the same 45 minutes
prior to your arrival time.
One of us will then go to your apartment to welcome you.
The remaining 70% of the total rental fee, together with a
breakage deposit of 150 Euros needs to be paid upon arrival
before the keys of the apartment are handed over.
The breakage deposit will be returned on departure providing
no damage has been done to the apartment (furniture,
electronic goods, walls, etc.).
If this amount does not cover the damage caused, the client is
obliged to pay the difference.
It is strongly forbidden for the tenant to sublet the apartment
in any way.
Liability
DestinationBCN nor the owner of the apartment shall be liable
for direct or indirect damages to the client that may arise as a
consequence of the use of the apartment, including without
limitation, damages caused by fire, flooding, robbery, criminal-
or reckless behavior.
Damages done to the apartment's contents as a result of
deliberate, criminal or reckless behavior, such as breakages
shall be forfeited to the client. The amount shall be established
by determining the replacement value of each object so it can
be returned to the exact state it was in before the incident
occurred.
Damages caused to the apartment due to construction failure,
fire and flooding are covered by the apartment's insurance.
Check-out
Normally checkout time is 10:00 AM. If no guests are expected
on the same day a more convenient time can be arranged.
The tenant is obligated to leave the apartment on the time
agreed upon. When breaching the agreement the tenant is
liable to a fine of 350 euros per day.
On departure, the apartment should be in a generally clean
condition and clear of any rubbish.
An additional cleaning charge can be deducted from the
breakage deposit if the apartment is left in an especially dirty
condition.
General
It is not allowed to give parties in the apartment or in adjacent
communal areas.
No music can be played after 11 at night.
In case of excessive noise nuisance, DestinationBCN maintains
the right to evict the tenant(s) without refunding the rental fee.
Pets are not allowed.
